Club Redstone

At the heart of Villawood Properties’ masterplanned Redstone community in Sunbury, Victoria, is Club Redstone. Alongside multiple staple amenities is the splash pad built for families with younger children. Following the success at Club Alamora, this project marks Life Floor’s second collaboration with Villawood.

The Life Floor Design Studio created a custom 177 m² forest-themed design inspired by the land the community is named for: Redstone Hill. Redstone Hill rises at the centre of the development and falls away towards Jacksons Creek, and the splash pad follows that same journey: a sweeping, curved layout carries a green gradient of Evergreen, Olive, and Lilypad down to a winding ribbon of Aviator blue. Native Australian wildlife Inlays bring the bush to life underfoot with kangaroos, echidnas, wombats, platypuses, and kookaburras scattered throughout for children to discover as they weave between the spray features overhead.

Translating this organic, flowing landscape onto a splash pad calls for precise execution, and Maurer Construction Tiling delivered. Every curve, colour transition and Inlay was fitted with the care the design demanded, resulting in a surface that reads as one continuous piece of terrain. The cushioned, slip-resistant tiles support safer movement in wet conditions while making the floor itself part of the attraction. Delivered with builder Jardon Group, Club Redstone brings the natural character of Redstone Hill into the centre of the community’s newest gathering place.
